Been lurking here for a while. Love the posts! :) Hopefully this would be okay for a first one.
So actually, a recent post reminded me of this tidbit that my mom told me about a couple of days ago:
In the wake of strong winds recently, over ten kilometers of icebergs appear along the bank of Lake Ulungur, Fuhai County in northwestern China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Wednesday, April 16, 2008. [Photo: CCTV.com] (link)
I'm not sure if the English site is sparse or what, but my mom said the news report stated that the wind was strong enough to break apart the frozen surface of the lake, and proceed to push it up the lakeshore.
