Achatina Snail
the maned wolf

Maybe I should get back to my Breed Development essay... Anyone know some specific adaptations the axolotl has made in it's evolution from the tiger salamander? *dies of death*
Weird Orca behaviour
We all know about the Patagonian Orcas (don't we?). The Orcas that come rushing out of the sea onto the beach to snatch sea-lion cubs, and then proceed to 'play' with the poor pup before devouring it.
Here's another example of amazing Orca behaviour for your enjoyment.

Sorry for the two posts in one day
I actually thought of something awesome to post here last night while I was on the way home. Of course now I have completely forgotten!
The Silver Leaf Monkey (or Silver Langur) is relatively common in Malaysia, but a lot more pleasant to be around than the aggressive and kleptomaniac Long-tailed Macaques.
The weird thing about these guys comes clear when you see a photo of mother and child.

Yes, they are the same species. Honestly, I don't know why the babies are bright orange (there doesn't seem to be much information online after a cursory search), but it's pretty funky and indeed illicits a "WTF?"

Tapaculo
While there are many different breeds of this bird, and frankly, this bird isn't that WTF material, however, what is WTF is its name.
According to Wiki, this bird's name is Spanish for "cover your behind," due to its cocked, upright tail tilted towards its head. However, according to my biologist roommate and her companions that helped her study them in Chile, the name is actually synonymous with that of "buttplug."
Congratulations, tapaculo. And here I thought your distant cousin the tit pretty amusing.
